A classic that I , surprisingly, have never made before! I was shocked by how simple it was to make this Chocolate Chip Pie! And to be honest, because of that, this was probably my first total success at homemade baking all year (and it was November… so sad).
This was the dessert we had brought to Thanksgiving dinner this year. I had all the best intentions of trying something totally out there, but Conor requested (quite a few times) that I make this pie instead. He grew up eating chocolate chip pie for dessert on Thanksgiving at home, and at the time he was deploying in just a matter of days… so what hubby wanted, hubby was going to get!
Because this was a dessert I was bringing to Thanksgiving dinner, I unfortunately couldn’t get any pictures of the pie after it was cut into. But even just looking at the pie as a whole is making my mouth water! Typically I only like fruity desserts, to be honest I don’t even like chocolate chip cookies, but this pie was delicious!
This pie was ridiculously easy to make (if I made it without any error, then you know it’s simple). Give it a try during these cold winter months coming up!

DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP PIE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 unbaked 9 inch deep dish pie crust
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 Cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (if desired, if not.. simply leave out)
PREPARATION:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a deep dish pie pan with unbaked crust, crimping the edges.
- In a mixing bowl, beat eggs on high until light and frothy. Add flour and both sugars, beat again until fully mixed. Add softened butter and beat one more time until all combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Stir until chocolate and nuts are evenly mixed within batter. Spoon batter into prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes. When finished, you should be able to insert a sharp knife into the middle and come out clean. Cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes.
- Enjoy!!

Looks yummy 🙂
