In Full Bloom

Well, I did it.

While I always had the idea of starting a blog as soon as I finished college, using this as my main form of social media to update family and friends on whatever my new life brings, I never actually thought I’d follow through. The biggest reason for that is that I honestly couldn’t see myself being finished with studying and getting through nursing school. But that? Yeah… I did that too!

So, here it is. Feel free to follow, or feel free to pass.

As for the name, In Full Bloom:

Those who know me best will find it quite ironic; as I have never been able to keep any sort of plant alive for more than 3 or 4 days, because of this I have an obsession with filling my home with fake flowers.

But for me this name means something all too different. For the past 4 years I’ve been in college, struggling through  nursing classes, seeking to maintain a long distance relationship, and attempting to balance life with both family and friends. But finally, I’m done; I graduated, I’ve moved away from home for the first time, my relationship is no longer long distance, and I’ve passed my NCLEX officially making me Registered Nurse.

When looking up synonyms for the phrase, I came across the terms flourishing, opening, blossoming, grown, prepared, ready, and refined.
