About two weeks ago both my Mom and Dad came to Florida for a visit! It was so great to have them out here- the last time they visited me away from home was when they drove across the country to drop me off in Oklahoma almost a year ago now. They’d be spending an entire week with me, that included both my Birthday and Mothers Day, so I knew it’d be a good time.

Originally the main intention of the trip was for my Mom to come out and go wedding dress shopping with me. But there was no way my Dad wasn’t going to join and miss out on the chance to see his favorite daughter 🙂

My parents arrived on a Tuesday and my Mom and I planned on visiting bridal salons on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday- but I ended up finding my dress on the very first day! We left the salon ecstatic, not just because we were experiencing the euphoric thrill of saying “Yes to the Dress,” but also because we now had the entire rest of the week to enjoy the beach!

The rest of their vacation here we enjoyed the beach and pool, spent many days out in the sunshine, took Jaggs to the water dog park, drank lots of mojitos, and ate LOTS and LOTS of seafood!

It was so great to have them out here and experience a bit of our little Air Force lifestyle. Luckily for me I’ll be back home to Vermont to see them again in about a month or so- I already can’t wait!
